I do a bit better with a 29 inch inseam rather than 30 (which is quite acceptable). The 14 oz denim is winter weight for us in Florida, where light 10 oz is very desirable for summer. After wearing the lighter weight, 14 oz is notably stiff, at least when new. I'm sure there will be break-in. The weight works well for landscaping projects, especially those with spiny plants.
The V2 fit is typical for jeans, and by current standards, it's a bargain (excepting a warehouse club that occasionally has a sales price of $14 for more or less disposable jeans).

The belt loops were badly sewn that they all came undone and had to get someone to repair them. The other pair had a receipt in the pocket from a restaurant so you could tell they were a returned pair. Disappointing to say the least when I’m paying full price. Last 2 orders I’ve done have been a letdown when I’ve really loved your brand but just have seen a decline in the quality
