Summary: Pleasantly surprising and nice.

I added these coasters as an impulsive throw-in on an order (just to reach a pricing plateau for an offsetting discount for shipping). And TBH, they don't really look like much in the Dearborn site's photos, IMO.

When they arrived, however, I was genuinely surprised at the quality. They're thick, soft and luxurious. Not that it really matters, but they even smell good (my wife jokingly said they're "so leathery"...)

These are gorgeous pieces of leather that serve a practical purpose. I own several sets. These are durable. The old ones get wet, and can be cleaned with e.g. Murphy's Oil soap and perhaps a little leather conditioner to maintain a wonderful patina. Gushing over leather coasters? Maybe! But they really are nice.

Let me start by saying I absolutely loved the first 4 coasters I purchased. I'm not sure how long ago I purchased them, maybe a year. I realize leather is not all the same and there will be variations. I recently purchased 8 more coasters because I loved the first 4 so much. What I received are half the thickness, not as firm, and generally much lower in quality than the original 4. Very disappointed. Original purchase is the darker of the two.
