About this pair
Read the full descriptionHide the full description
Made for anyone who wants a plain black tee that fits like a shirt and not like a bag. It works under a flannel, over a pair of jeans, or on its own six days a week.
The classic fit is our straighter cut through the chest and body, with a standard crew neck and set-in sleeves. The fabric is combed cotton, which means the short fibers are combed out before spinning, so the surface stays smooth and the shirt holds its shape through repeated wear. The fabric is woven in the USA and the shirt is cut and sewn in our own factory in Chicago, which is rarer than the phrase "American made" suggests.
Care is simple. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low, and expect a small amount of shrinkage in the first wash as with any cotton tee. No softeners needed.
On sizing, take your usual t-shirt size if you like a trim, close cut. If you prefer room through the chest and a longer drape, size up one. Our size chart for this shirt lists the measurements garment by garment, so measure a tee you already like and compare before you order.
Most orders ship within one business day. Returns are open for 30 days, and shipping is free on orders over $150.
Questions
Good to know
Where is this t-shirt made?
It is cut and sewn in our family-owned factory in Chicago. The fabric is made in the USA, so the shirt is American made from yarn to stitch.
What is the fabric?
It is combed cotton, which means the short fibers are combed out before spinning. That keeps the surface smooth and helps the shirt hold its shape through repeated wear.
How does the classic fit run and what size should I order?
The classic fit is our straighter cut through the chest and body, with a standard crew neck and set-in sleeves. Take your usual t-shirt size if you like a trim, close cut, and size up one if you want more room through the chest and a longer drape. Can I return it if it does not fit?
Yes. Returns are open for 30 days.
How fast does it ship and is shipping free?
Most orders ship within one business day, and you should allow 2 to 3 business days. Shipping is free on orders over $150.
What makes this different from a plain black tee I could buy anywhere?
We make it ourselves in our own Chicago factory and sell it direct, so there is no middleman between the sewing machine and you. The fabric is made in the USA as well, which is less common than the phrase American made suggests.

"Superb fit, comfort, flexibility, breathability and perfect weight. I try to buy USA made items but that doesn't necessarily translate to high quality....but these t-shirts do!"

"Great feel"
"I bought a white and a black t-shirt. The black seemed to be better quality and was tagless so I like the black one more. They are both still good shirts."
