The cotton is Supima, grown organically in the USA. Supima has extra long fibers, which make soft, long lasting yarns; less than 1% of all cotton grown in the world can be called Supima. The knit is a fine gauge interlock, thicker than common jersey, with the smoothest surface of any knit. It won't curl or pill. The collar is a double turtleneck for warmth, and the sleeve is fitted.
Care: Launder it like the rest of your knits. The interlock construction holds its shape and surface through regular washing, so it won't curl at the hem or pill at the elbows the way a light jersey can.
Sizing: The sleeve is cut close, so the fit reads trim through the arm. If you want room for a shirt underneath, or you are between sizes, take the larger size.

A nice midlayer, pretty smooth and strong for its thinness. The construction is interesting, there is only one seem on the body along the spine, so there are no seems under the arms. A good piece for layering.

A year or two ago I bought a t-shirt from Dearborn, a large, and when I put it on it was more like an extra, or extra-extra, large. So when I ordered the turtleneck I got a medium, thinking your shirts run large. This was reinforced by the sizing page, which said a medium represents a 44" chest -- a large in my book. Well, the turtleneck is a medium at best, so too small for me. And it's cut way too short in the length, so it can't really be tucked in. I have tried to be loyal to Dearborn, but I think I will have to stop. I have bought three pairs of denim jeans over the years, all 34" W X 30" long. The legs of the first one were a bit short, though not too bad, but it had a funky (short) zipper, The second pair pretty much was perfect. The length etc of the third pair is about right, but it has this ridiculous coin pocket that's so deep I can't retrieve anything out of it. The conclusion: I'll never know what to order because I won't know what's likely to arrive. So, alas, I won't prder
