Where Do We Source Our Denim?
We're committed to delivering high-quality, ethically made jeans, and a huge part of that promise comes from the materials we use. We've received a lot of questions on where we source our denim, so I wanted to share a bit about where we source our denim and why we’ve chosen these partners. Our denim comes from two trusted mills: Cone Mills in Parras, Mexico, and Mt. Vernon Mills in South Carolina. Each mill plays a crucial role in ensuring that we offer you the best fabrics for both stretch and 100% cotton jeans.
Cone Mills
For our stretch denim, we source fabric from the legendary Cone Mills in Parras, Mexico. Cone Mills has a rich history in denim production, known for their high standards of craftsmanship. They’ve been perfecting their denim for over a century, and while their original U.S. location closed in 2017, their mill in Mexico has continued the tradition of producing top-tier denim.
Cone Mills is famous for its innovation in fabric technology, which is why their stretch denim is the perfect choice for us. The material they provide allows us to create jeans that offer both flexibility and durability, meaning you get jeans that move with you, retain their shape, and feel great throughout the day.
Mt. Vernon Mills
For our 100% cotton denim, we work with Mt. Vernon Mills, located in South Carolina. They’ve been a trusted name in American textile production for over 175 years. What we love about Mt. Vernon Mills is their commitment to sustainability and the environment. Their processes ensure minimal waste, and they focus on creating high-quality, durable denim that can withstand everyday wear.
The fabric we source from Mt. Vernon Mills is all about tradition—rugged, durable, and designed to last. This denim gives our 100% cotton jeans that classic, broken-in feel that gets better with time, just like the vintage jeans we all admire.
Made in Chicago
While we’re proud of the incredible partners we have for sourcing our denim, all the manufacturing happens right here in Chicago at our own factory. From cutting to sewing and finishing, everything is done in-house, allowing us to maintain strict quality control and ensure that every pair of jeans meets our high standards.
When you purchase a pair of Dearborn Denim jeans, you’re not only getting a high-quality product, but you’re also supporting ethical American manufacturing. Whether it's stretch or 100% cotton, we’re proud to say our jeans are made with fabric from the best mills and crafted with care in the USA.
